Vintage Design

Chinese porcelain baluster vase mounted as a lamp, richly decorated with picturesque characters, animals, flowers and foliage. This lamp has a large fringed lampshade with braid, and rests on a blackened wooden base.
The polychrome enamel decoration is typical of the Mandarin style of the late 19th century.
This vase illustrates a life scene with men and women with smiling faces, surrounded by birds, butterflies and flowers.
The whole is surrounded by a lively, dense and luminous plant motif.
with its very cheerful decor and its relief sculptures enhanced with fine gold, this Cantonese lamp will charm you with the poetry that emanates from it.
