An exceptional model by the Goldscheider company, which has only rarely been produced: A dancer posing upright, standing barefoot on one leg, wearing an elaborate, exotic headdress with a flame-like jagged tiara and a volute bent upwards at the back of her head, long ear jewellery and a necklace reaching far down her breastbone, in a costume that barely hugs her body: Strapless top with cut-outs at the sides, bias-cut skirt reaching to the floor on one side, another wrapped skirt above, held by a fabric belt with trains falling down to the floor on both sides, costume elaborately decorated with a red, scalloped dot pattern and coloured, abstract floral decoration, her left leg raised at a right angle with her foot stretched down through it, her arms turned outwards with palms facing downwards, resting against her hips at the sides. The figure is based on a black, bevelled and stepped rectangular base with elephant and palm relief decoration running around the sides.
