Yoko Two-Seater Sofa by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, France, 1970s

An iconic Yoko two-seat sofa designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in the 1970s. Renowned for his innovative approach to comfort and informal living, Ducaroy created the Yoko as a low-slung seating design with soft, generous proportions and an inviting, relaxed appearance. The sculptural form and absence of visible structure make it a perfect representation of the casual elegance that defined French design during the period. This example retains its original white leather upholstery, which has developed a subtle patina through decades of use. The sofa remains comfortable and visually striking, with the supple leather emphasizing the soft, pillow-like construction that made the model so successful. Its clean silhouette and understated design allow it to integrate effortlessly into both contemporary and vintage interiors. The sofa is presented in good vintage condition with minor age-related wear. Small stains, light scratches, and signs of use are visible throughout the leather, consistent with its age and original upholstery. Condition Good vintage condition. Original leather upholstery with a beautiful patina. Minor stains, light scratches, and age-related wear visible throughout. Structurally sound and ready for everyday use.
