Tom Dixon & The Dock

No trip to London would be complete without a stop at Tom Dixon's amazing design complex, known as The Dock. The location of Tom's expansive site (over 45,000 sq. ft. along the canal) once played a major role in England's Industrial Revolution, and was the former home to Virgin Records; today, it's been transformed and now houses Tom's work studio, a fabulous showroom, a chic 3-bedroom hotel in a former water tower, as well as a fantastic restaurant, tea room, and deck. While the space is certainly multi-purpose, the vibe throughout is all Tom: smart, balanced, and beautifully cool.

The L'ArcoBaleno ladies swung by to check out Tom's latest and greatest projects (which run the gamut from apparel design and books to tabletop pieces and chairs), and to say hi to one of our favorite designers—and people—ever!
