It was gorgeous in Beirut today, and visiting the studio and shop of graphic designer Rama Salam was one of the sunniest moments. After training in London, she returned to her hometown, where’s she’s become one of the most celebrated creatives in the region. It’s easy to see why. Her style is distinctive, clever, and humorous. I love her collection of tea towels, pillows, and more that feature her signature, multilayered graphic patterns. She is a tornado of energy and the undisputed queen of kitsch.
