Pair of Wassily armchairs in original off-white canvas and steel Edition Gavina 1964 signed. Very good original condition

This pair of armchairs was designed in 1925 by the Hungarian designer Marcel Breuer, then produced by Gavina in the 1960s in Italy (see label). They are composed of a structure in bent steel tube and a strip of beige canvas forming the back, seat and armrests.

For this model, Marcel Breuer was inspired by industrial manufacturing techniques, it will be described as revolutionary for its time!

A great classic that we love to find in interiors, we will never get tired of it. The Wassily, or even B3, is an essential piece of 20th century design.
