About This Piece

Vintage Design

A pair of Sapporo armchairs, designed by Mario Marenco for Mobil Girgi in the 1970s.

The armchairs faithfully reflect the characteristic style of the Sapporo model: generous, rounded volumes, a deep seat, wide padded armrests, and a soft backrest, with a unique finish that creates a pleasing gathered effect in the leather.

The cognac/tan leather upholstery, with its natural patina acquired over time, further emphasizes the warm, textured aesthetic of the design.

The structure and proportions are designed to offer particularly comfortable and informal seating, perfectly representative of 1970s Italian design.

The armchairs show normal signs of wear due to age and use.
