About This Piece

Vintage Design

A rare and luxurious Roche Bobois Bubble sofa, designed by Sacha Lakic, presented in an exceptional taupe leather upholstery. The iconic Bubble collection is best known in fabric, making this leather version particularly distinctive. Roche Bobois produced the Bubble in leather as a limited special edition, and this version has since been discontinued from the standard collection. Today, a leather Bubble can only be obtained through special customization, with a current retail price of €8,000+, depending on the chosen leather and configuration. Designed by Sacha Lakic, the Bubble is instantly recognizable by its sculptural, cloud-like silhouette. Its generous rounded forms are created using high-density foam and advanced upholstery techniques, resulting in a sofa that combines exceptional comfort with a striking contemporary presence. The sophisticated taupe leather gives this particular example a more refined and luxurious character while beautifully emphasizing the sofa’s distinctive curves.
