About This Piece

Vintage Design

Four-panel byobu decorated with a mountain landscape, hand painted on gold silk and surrounded by gold brocade. The back is lined with pretty patterned paper.
The scene is painted with ink and natural pigments. There are some foxing and a small inconspicuous tear in the middle of the left shaft. There are also two tears on the back. The work is nevertheless in very good condition.
Screen with the artist's signature and stamp.
