Vintage Design

Designed by Bruno Mathsson, the Eva chair is a landmark of Scandinavian modernism, celebrated for its ergonomic comfort and refined simplicity. Crafted in bentwood with a woven seat, its flowing form reflects Mathsson’s belief that furniture should follow the body, reflecting Mathsson’s lifelong research into ergonomics and natural materials. The Eva chair remains as relevant today as when it was first introduced in the 1930s.
This particular example comes from the vacation home of a Danish family on the Côte d’Azur, where it was enjoyed in a light-filled, relaxed setting — a provenance that perfectly suits the chair’s effortless elegance.
