Modernity gallery was founded in 1998 by Andrew Duncanson after he moved from Scotland to Sweden. The gallery specializes in rare and collectible furniture, lighting, interior accessories, and jewelry by 20th-century Scandinavian designers. Modernity’s large collection includes design classics by the likes of Hans Wegner, Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen, Alvar Aalto, Arne Vodder, and Ib Kofod-Larsen, as well as unique pieces. Working with both private clients and international museums like MoMA and LACMA out of their Stockholm showroom, the gallery is also a regular fixture at the top fairs in London and New York. Modernity is a member of the Swedish Art & Antique Association and the International Art and Antique Association CINOA and has, over more than two decades in business, cemented a reputation as one of Europe’s leading midcentury design galleries.
