About This Piece

Vintage Design

Art Nouveau chandelier in brass and bronze by the "Auermann-Gesellschaft Berlin." Around 1900, this lamp was originally gas-powered, as evidenced by the still-intact, richly ornamented gas shut-off valves at the bottom. with the electrification of Berlin around 1905, the lamp was converted to electric operation. The glass shades feature delicate etched decoration. A high-quality, pure Art Nouveau piece.

The lamp has been rewired and is functional in Europe, the USA, and Canada.
